THE AIR TRAINING CORPS
"We're sponsored by the Royal Air Force and can give you hands-on experience of activities and courses that will challenge and develop your skills to help you succeed in whatever you want to do."
The ATC has over 46, 000 cadets aged between 12 and 20 years of age, offering a great and highly diverse range of activities. It is divided into six regions, 34 wings and more than 900 squadrons within communities around the UK.
Our aims are to:
-
Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people
-
Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life
-
Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship
So, are you ready to take the first step towards all the opportunities and benefits that the air cadets can offer you?
It's important to know that we're not a recruiting organisation for the Services (but it's great if you decide you want to join later on). We're not interested in anything but you and your potential, and will help you get the most from your experience as a cadet.
There are many great things on offer within the Corps, things that help a person to develop into a leader and a great individual, making friends and having a lot of fun along the way.
